Get Ready, Miami: Taste America is Back!

The James Beard Foundation® (JBF) announces that its Taste America culinary series returns to Miami with an exclusive dinner on October 28 at 7:00 p.m. at Wynwood Event Center. Presented by American Express and Resy, Taste America celebrates the chefs and independent restaurants at the heart of communities, hosting one-of-a-kind evenings in 20 U.S. cities.

Chefs Raheem and Monika—selected for JBF’s 2026–2027 TasteTwenty class of “ones to watch”—will host the evening, presenting a multi-course menu in collaboration with chef Sebastian that blends their distinct styles.

“We’re thrilled to host the Taste America Miami dinner featuring three exceptional chefs whose creativity and leadership are shaping the future of American dining,” said Clare Reichenbach, CEO of the James Beard Foundation. “It’s a rare opportunity to meet the artists behind the plate and support the Foundation’s mission to champion independent restaurants.”

The four-course joint menu, set at Wynwood Event Center, will feature thoughtfully selected beverage pairings that blend Japanese and Caribbean smokehouse influences with vibrant Latin flavors and modern techniques.

“Being recognized as part of JBF’s TasteTwenty class is an incredible honor,” said chefs Raheem and Monika. “We can’t wait to create a menu that celebrates Miami’s culinary community.”

“Cooking alongside Raheem and Monika is a chance to explore how our different culinary perspectives can come together,” said chef Sebastian. “I’m honored to help showcase the talent, diversity, and energy that define this city.”

Now in its 14th year, Taste America invites diners to experience their city’s food scene through celebrated local chefs. Proceeds support JBF’s national impact programming, helping build a more sustainable and equitable future for independent restaurants.
