President Barack Obama has no reservations about dining with celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain. During his visit to Hanoi, Vietnam, Obama is taping a segment for a forthcoming episode of Bourdain’s CNN program “Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown,” the network announced Monday, highlighting the country’s culinary culture and common ground with the United States.
“Their conversation will be featured in an upcoming episode of Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown, returning for its eighth season in September,” a CNN spokesperson said. “Bourdain will explore the purpose of the President’s trip and his interest in the people, food, and culture of Vietnam.” Bourdain tweeted that they dined for $6 on bún chả, grilled pork, and noodle.
