October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. In honor of that, restaurants in Miami will feature unique offerings with proceeds from the items benefiting the Susan G. During October, The Gramercy will be bringing in a pink friend for its signature red bears, which are for sale that regularly benefit The Lotus House. The pink bears will be for sale for $500 to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure, with The Gramercy matching donations of purchased bears. Additionally, The Gramercy will be selling a special edition pink mug in honor of breast cancer awareness month for $20, with 50% of the proceeds benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Intercontinental Miami & Toro Toro

Miami’s iconic downtown hotel, InterContinental Miami, is going pink to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. On October 1, the hotel will commemorate Breast Cancer awareness in a big way when the exterior digital canvas illuminates the Miami skyline in pink to display a 36-foot digital Pink Ribbon that will be on display throughout the entire month of October.

In addition, visitors can follow the hotel’s interior pink lighting to Toro Toro, chef/restaurateur Richard Sandoval’s Pan-Latin steakhouse located on the lobby level of the property. Throughout October, Toro Toro is featuring the Pink La Bomba, a pink chocolate half-sphere filled with cream cheese mousse, dulce de leche, strawberry ice cream, fresh berries, cookie crumbles, and vanilla and berry sauce ($32), and the signature Pink Lotus cocktail ($18). 20% off all proceeds from the Pink La Bomba and cocktail sales will be donated to BRCAStrong, a 501(c)3 non-profit that aims to support and alleviate the emotional and financial burdens of women facing breast cancer and ovarian cancer. 2 oz E11EVEN Vodka
2 oz pineapple juice
2 oz Condensed Coconut Milk
2 scoops of Strawberry Ice-cream
2 cups of Ice
Garnish Pineapple Frans, Strawberry Slices, Toasted Coconut Flakes.
Directions to make: Blend all ingredients in a blender and pour them into a hurricane glass.
