What Now Ella’s Coffee House is opening a new location at 1520 N Federal Hwy., Suite 500, in Fort Lauderdale, extending a South Florida footprint that’s grown steadily since the brand’s start as a neighborhood coffee shop in Plantation back in 2016. The new café will carry the same formula that’s carried Ella’s through its expansion: freshly roasted coffee, handcrafted drinks, house-made syrups and pastries baked on-site.
What sets Ella’s apart from a typical coffee chain is how little it outsources. The company roasts and grinds its own beans, makes all of its flavored syrups and pastries in-house, and sells its signature coffee blends for customers to brew at home, an approach that has helped it build a loyal following well beyond its original Plantation storefront.
