BLT Steak Miami, which opened at the Iberostar Berkeley Hotel in the heart of South Beach last month, is debuting an enticing new blackboard special beginning Wednesday, November 1. “The Perfect Pair”— which will change regularly– combines a highlighted item from the acclaimed modern steakhouse’s menu with a glass of wine, beer or a cocktail selected by general manager David Weiss for its compatibility with the dish. As an added bonus, the beverage pairing will be offered at 50 percent of its usual price. According to Weiss, who will rotate selections to showcase new menu items and pairings weekly, it’s a wonderful way to enjoy a curated match-up, while expanding your knowledge of wine and libations. Each day of the week will feature a highlighted pairing, hand-selected by Chef Carlos Torres and David Weis as a special selection for BLT Steak guests to enjoy during their meal at the newly re-opened restaurant.
For example, on Monday, order Foie Gras Empanadas with its suggested pair, a glass of Santa Julia Late Harvest Torrontes, and the glass of wine will be $5.00 instead of the regular price of $10. There will be a different promotion every night of the week, Other sample pairings follow:
- Porterhouse Steak for 2 with a bottle of Aienda Agricola COS Maldafrica (normally the bottle is $120; will be $60)
- Cowboy Ribeye with a Sazerac cocktail (normally the cocktail is $17 will be $8.50)
- Steak Tartare Tacos with a Cold Rogue Brew IPA (normally the beer is $8 will be $4))
- Kansas City Strip Steak with a ½ bottle of Clos La Coutale Cahors (normally $30 the half bottle will be $15)
- Ora King Salmon with a ½ bottle of Chateau Carbonnieux White Bordeaux (normally $55 the half bottle will be $27.50)
- Peanut Butter Chocolate Mousse with a glass of Malamado Malbec Port (normally a glass of port is $13 – will be $6.50)
In addition to featuring the Perfect Pairs on their blackboard menu, BLT Steak will post the line-up on social media so interested diners can coordinate their dining plans with that evening’s specials.
