Slow Food Miami is back for the season and will present the first “Snail Social” roaming Happy Hour event on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, from 6 PM to 8 PM hosted by The Jim And Neesie At Generator Miami.
With acclaimed service, bespoke cocktails, and New American fare inspired by fresh and seasonal ingredients, The Jim And Neesie at Generator Miami is the perfect spot to reunite Slow Foodies after its summer hiatus. At the helm is Chef Daniel Roy, – a Florida native – who appreciates celebrating the area’s rich tropical flavors and robust seafood offerings. His philosophy combines his commitment to supporting local farms with his experience in cooking in French kitchens, to create food that is technique-forward where the ingredient is the star.
For September’s Snail Social, guests will enjoy passed bites at the poolside bar including fritters with Jamon, beef skewers with Thai chili sauce, spicy corn, citrus roasted carrots, charred romanesco, and one complimentary frozen welcome cocktail. Guests that stay for dinner can take advantage of their $39 Miami Spice dinner menu (here) and will receive an additional 15% off of their check.
This event is open to the public; $15 suggested donation in advance, $20 at the door. Tickets can be purchased here. First-time student and teacher sponsored tickets are available – those interested can send a message to Slow Food Miami on Facebook or Instagram. All proceeds will go toward our Edible School Garden program.
There will be a Snail Social hosted by different Snail of Approval chefs and restaurants throughout Miami on the second Tuesday of every month. Other participating chefs and restaurants will be announced throughout the season via Slow Food Miami’s mailing list and social media tagged with #snailsocial. Follow Slow Food Miami on Instagram and Facebook to stay current.
