You’re invited to journey through the regions of Oaxaca, Mexico, at Como Como in an extraordinary “Passport” Mezcal tasting in honor of National Mezcal Day at Como Como at Moxy South Beach. Mezcal, which is deeply rooted in Oaxacan region culture and several neighboring communities, dates back hundreds of years where families throughout the regions work to preserve ancestral techniques for distilling Mezcal. Today, Mezcal is still made from the heart of an agave plant as it was many years ago where the myth said a lightning bolt struck an agave plant releasing its juice and giving it its name, “elixir of the gods.”
Join Como Como in celebrating the deeply rooted history in the popular Mexican spirit on National Mezcal Day (Oct 21) from 6-8 PM as Como Como at Moxy South Beach is hosting a complimentary passport tasting featuring popular Mezcal brands; Ilegal, Amaras, Gem and Bolt, Del Maguey, and El Tinieblo. Guests can also enjoy a featured specialty cocktail, “Sunshine State of Mind,” for $10 while sipping their way through the Oaxacan region.
Moxy South Beach is located at 915 Washington Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33139. For more information or to book, visit moxysouthbeach.com.
