Le Chick Expands With Le Coqtail

New Outdoor Bar & Lounge Features Exclusive Cocktail Creations, Bar Bites Menu

Le Chick, inspired by a wildly-popular Dutch restaurant and a Wynwood hotspot since it premiered Spring 2018, is doubling down on its popularity this fall with the launch of Le CoqTail, its new outdoor bar & lounge now officially open. Featuring stylish, comfortable outdoor seating – a rarity in Wynwood – Le CoqTail boasts a retractable roof, a gorgeous design very much in sync with Le Chick’s industrial-chic allure, live DJ music, as well as an exclusive cocktail list and bar bites menu by Executive Chef Nicole Votano.

Being in Miami – a city where cocktailing and entertainment are foremost priorities – we became used to a lively bar scene on top of our dining crowd at Le Chick. Wynwood has been very good to us and we saw an opportunity with space next door to not just expand, but evolve more into the nightlife scene,” says co-owner Coco Coig. “We see Le CoqTail as a continuation of what we started with Le Chick and are excited to have our fans and newcomers experience it. We think it will be a unique addition to the Wynwood scene,” adds co-owner Jorge Sanchez. “You can literally have dinner then segue into a great bar scene by strolling outdoors after your meal.”

Space encompasses 2,000 square feet including an expansive bar, communal seating, lush greenery and – an added benefit to the many who have waited patiently for a table during dinner service at Le Chick – an additional 40 seats for dining. But at its heart, Le CoqTail is a sophisticated but unpretentious cocktail lounge; the perfect hotspot for Happy Hour, late-night carousing or a cocktail and a bite before exploring one of the hottest neighborhoods in the world.

Behind the bar is a mixologist on the rise Rebekah Stone; on offer, a bevy of creative concoctions only available at Le CoqTail. Priced between $12-$18 they include: 305 Key Lime Pie – vanilla vodka, Midori, lime foam and graham cracker rim; Santeria – Zacapa 23 Rum, blood orange liqueur, chocolate bitters, Palo Santo smoke; Bangin’ Sangria – red wine blend, blackberry brandy, tropical juices, and floral tea and La Pelirroja – Blanco tequila, mezcal, lime guava nectar, Ancho Reyes Verde, lime and chili.

As mentioned, Le CoqTail will also encompass added seats for those seeking a proper meal at Le Chick. Whether in the restaurant’s industrial-chic dining room or al fresco, a bevy of temptations awaits. New menu additions from Votano include Le Chick Street Corn with truffle aioli, Manchego cheese, pickled Fresno, micro cilantro; Maine Lobster Roll with celery, spicy mayo on a house-made New England style brioche bun; Grilled Salmon Bun – grilled Faroe Island salmon with bib lettuce, dill remoulade, cucumber, and pickled red onion; and Grilled Spanish Octopus with smoky eggplant, roasted tomato, arugula, and garlic aioli. Lighter fare includes Local Burrata with house-made fennel orange jam, arugula, pickled red onion, and smoked sea salt as well as a Wild Mushroom Steak Salad with rosemary gremolata. Le Chick signatures – BBQ Baby Back Ribs, Fried Chicken Bun and the Royale with Cheeseburger – are local legends and going nowhere! Speaking of burgers, fans should note that during Happy Hour and every Tuesday from open to close the Royale with Cheese, which is served with fries, is only $10.

Le CoqTail is open Monday – Wednesday from 4 PM to 10:30 PM and until 11:30 PM on Thursday; Friday & Saturday from noon to 1 AM; and Sunday from noon to 10:30 PM. Happy Hour is available Monday – Friday from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
