Peacock Ramen x The Wolf of Tacos at Mezcalista
Peacock Ramen, is one of Miami’s best food pop-ups, honoring the traditions of the beloved Japanese noodle soup and adding its unique creative touches. For this edition at Mezcalista at Moxy South Beach, there will be a particular dinner party featuring a dinner made in collaboration with The Wolf of Tacos (another of the city’s master underground chefs) that incorporates elements of traditional Mexican cuisine, as well as a Cerveza and mezcal pairing specially chosen from the 200+ varieties available at Mezcalista lounge. Coupled with a vibey DJ set selected by foodie and man about town Lucaz, this will be a unique experience not to be missed.

Bringing together the art of Japanese noodle soup and traditional Mexican stews, this bowl combines elements and flavors from both for something entirely unforgettable. Light chicken, pork, and hominy broth with a salty tomatillo flavor base, topped with hominy, pork shoulder, chopped ham hock, cilantro red onion mix, sliced radishes, lime, and chile powder.

On Tuesday, January 18 from 6-11 PM Serena at Moxy South Beach welcomes The Weingut Schmitt winery for a unique opportunity to taste and experience the new vintage release from the winery along with the winemakers and importers Bianka and Daniel Schmitt. Bianka and Daniel Schmitt of The Weingut Schmitt winery which has been in their family for over 200 years have been working their 16 hectares biodynamically for over a decade.
Guests can expect to taste and learn about a few of the varieties Bianka and Daniel Schmitt have been working on described below.
“FREI.KÖRPER.KULTUR FIZZ” A crisp sparkling wine made from indigenous varietals from Rheinhessen, Portugieser and Dornfelder. Made in Charmant Method.
“FREI.KÖRPER.KULTUR ROSE “This unfiltered rose is made from the indigenous grapes Potrugieser and Dornfelder done with a short maceration on the skins. Aged in fiberglass for the highest purity of expression.
“FREI.KÖRPER.KULTUR WEISS” Bright and crisp unfiltered white done with whole clusters and unfiltered. Beautiful lean expression of all indigenous varietals. Scheurebe, Weissburgunder, Huxelrebe, Grauburgunder and Ortega.
“SPÄTBURGUNDER” Also known as Pinot Noir, has its own identity in Germany. This unfiltered and layered expression is macerated for 6 weeks and packs a gentle punch of vibrant, crunchy red fruit.
