Lift a Fork, Lend a Hand to Benefit World Central Kitchen

Local restaurants band together for Bahamian recovery, relief Saturday, September 21

Some of the finest restaurants in Dade and Broward counties are banding together to help raise funds for Bahamian hurricane relief and recovery. “Like many, we felt compelled to do something to help those most affected by Hurricane Dorian,” says Alex Kuk, chef/owner of Temple Street Eatery who, with his business partner chef Diego Ng, put together the Lift a Fork, Lend a Hand fundraising effort. “Every little bit helps and we hope people will come out to support the cause.”

On Saturday, September 21 – the International Day of Peace – participating restaurants (see below) will each donate a portion of sales to World Central Kitchen, chef Jose Andres’ organization dedicated to hunger relief.
