August 5th is National Oyster Day! Seafood lovers rejoice! Generally, oysters are considered aphrodisiacs, well, at least according to Casanova, who claimed to eat 50 oysters for breakfast every day, apparently the reason for his unlimited energy and libido. Either way, on National Oyster Day, go out and indulge yourself! Celebrate National Oyster Day at highly acclaimed Coconut Grove eatery Ariete. Indulge in Chef Michael Beltran’s wildly popular Wood-Grilled Oysters with bone marrow butter ($24/$48) – chives, charred lime, or sea urchin butter ($24/$48) – turmeric, tarragon, lime. These are available during dinner Sunday to Thursday from 6 PM to 10 PM; Friday & Saturday until 11 PM. Ariete is located at 3540 Main Highway in Coconut Grove.

Michael Mina’s award-winning steakhouse in the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry offers a delectable chef’s selection of oysters nightly on their dinner menu. Priced at $27, the oysters are served with Champagne mignonette. Dinner at BOURBON Steak is available nightly from 6 PM until 10 PM. On Thursday, August 5th, from 5 PM-9 PM, the Grove hotspot is partnering with The Lazy Oyster, a raw bar & seafood concept specializing in bringing a premium seafood experience to your door. Guests can enjoy a variety of fresh oysters on the half shell as well as Taurus’ popular Happy Hour (5 PM-8 PM). Specials include $9 well cocktails, $7 draft beer, and $7 frozen cocktails.
