Relax and slow down, these Miami well-known restaurants are now offering prix fixe menus for a more sophisticated take on Thanksgiving.
L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon
For those who want a luxe and memorable Thanksgiving dinner, the world-renowned L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon’s Miami outpost will be offering a four-course prix-fixe menu for the holiday. Priced at $145 per person, the menu starts guests off with L’Atelier’s signature amuse-bouche, Pour Commencer – foie gras royale, parmesan foam, and essence of Maury ″Vieilles Vignes.″ Each course thereafter has options of various L’Atelier favorites, giving guests the opportunity to create their own tasting menu experience. A traditional Thanksgiving turkey, La Dinde, will be a part of the offerings as well as the late Joël Robuchon’s beloved and famed mashed potatoes. Additional standout dishes include Le Caviar et le Crab Royale with caviar and Alaskan king crab, crustacean jelly and celeriac cream; Le Kampachi with Hawaiian kampachi sashimi, textured guacamole, cilantro, and yuzu dressing; La Caille, caramelized free-range quail, foie gras and mashed potatoes; Les Saint-Jacques, scallop served with a cilantro broth, coconut emulsion and grilled calamari; L’Aubergine with confit eggplant, eggplant caviar, and vegetable curry; and Le Boeuf with “petite” prime ribeye, butternut squash tartlet with caramelized onion. For dessert, guests may enjoy fall-inspired treats such as La Tarte Au Potiron pumpkin tart accompanied with a pain d’épice chantilly and crème fraîche ice cream; and La Pomme – caramelized apple with mild spices like a “Tatin”, Calvados ice cream and vanilla chantilly. The restaurant will offer the specialty Thanksgiving menu from 1 PM until 7 PM on Thursday, November 26. Gianni’s at the Villa Casa Casuarina
Another opportunity to enjoy the holiday in the lap of luxury, Gianni’s at The Villa Casa Casuarina (the former Versace Mansion) is offering a prix fixe Thanksgiving Menu for diners wishing to celebrate the season in style. Adhering to all COVID recommendations, the repast will be served al fresco in the restaurant’s legendary poolside dining area or in the Courtyard (both areas feature retractable awnings). Priced at $85 per person exclusive of tax and gratuity, the four-course menu offers a combination of traditional American Thanksgiving dishes and Executive Chef Valter Mancini’s Italian interpretations of the holiday. Guests will start off with Potato & Leek Soup, followed by a middle course with a choice of Gianni’s Salad or Homemade Pumpkin Ravioli with Butter and Sage. For the main course, diners will enjoy a traditional course of Roasted Turkey Breast served with homemade stuffing, mashed potatoes, and sauteed string beans. Dessert offerings are Spiced Pumpkin Tart served with toasted pumpkin seeds and whipped pumpkin cream or Bourbon Pecan Tart with chocolate ganache. The a la carte menu will also be available.
