The Ocean Grill at the Setai, Miami Beach’s best-kept secret for unobstructed ocean view dining is celebrating summer with a three-course, prix-fixe lunch menu priced at $33 (exclusive of beverages, tax, and gratuity). Surrounded by native foliage and located just steps from the beach, The Ocean Grill is a casually sophisticated al fresco venue. Its special summer offering showcases highlights from Setai executive chef Vijay Veena’s wood-fired Mediterranean menu – perfect for light summer dining.
To start, begin with the Compressed Watermelon & Feta with basil, balsamic glaze and jalapeno or the Cucumber Gazpacho topped with scallions and fresh mint; or the Bulgur & Quinoa Tabbouleh with fresh avocado, frisée, sauce Vierge, and basil. The setting is just right for Greek Salad made with vine ripe tomatoes, Kalamata olives, Feta, bell peppers, onion, cucumber, sprinkled with fresh oregano or Beet Salad with arugula, goat cheese, pistachio and white balsamic vinaigrette. Upgrade to a Yellowfin Tuna Tartare topped with ponzu, Hijiki seaweed, chives and crispy shallots for an additional $10.
Entrees include the IMPOSSIBLE™ Burger – the vegetarian, plant-based patty everyone’s talking about topped with cilantro jalapeno aioli, lettuce, tomato, and red onion; Grilled Yellow Fin Tuna with celery root puree, broccolini, crispy leeks, and garlic oil; Chicken Paillard with arugula, shaved parmesan, and caper citronette dressing; or Maine Scallops with grilled parsnip and passion fruit butter. For an additional $10 enjoy Wagyu Skirt Steak with charred, smashed fingerling potatoes and chimichurri or Whole Local Fish with grilled, pickled red onion and radish with garlic herb butter. Ending on a sweet note, dessert options include two scoops of vanilla, chocolate or strawberry Ice Cream or a Fresh Fruit Plate with assorted seasonal selections.
Additionally, the menu offers an a la carte assortment of wine and innovative cocktails such as the Berry Basil Lemonade made with citron vodka, strawberry, lemon, fresh basil and club soda or the Green Passion made with tequila, passion fruit purée, lime and cilantro ($16 cocktail/$96 pitchers). Also, on offer are the hotel’s famed “Setai Coconuts” cocktails. Served in a whole coconut and branded with The Setai’s signature palm tree logo, guests can instantly hop into vacation mode as they sip from four different concoctions: Coco Walker ($25) – whiskey, Coco Lopez, and coconut water; Coco Melon ($25) – coconut rum and fresh watermelon juice; Coco Vanilla ($25) – vanilla vodka and fresh pineapple juice; or the Coco Tequila ($25) – tequila and coconut cream. Little ones can indulge in a non-alcoholic coconut, which is made with pure, 100% coconut water for just $16.
