Locals Flock to Surfside for Pet-Themed Third Thursdays Block Party on March 15, 2018

Miami’s Uptown Beachtown welcomes the public to the FREE monthly event, featuring food trucks, entertainment, live music, dancing and kids’ activities

Update! Jungle Island joins Surfside for FREE Third Thursday block party on 03/15

Surfside, Miami’s Uptown Beachtown, invites all party animals to the next Third Thursdays block party. Admission is free to the public at this special edition pet-themed event, where locals and visitors are encouraged to bring their pets — furry and fine-feathered friends, reptiles… galore.

At the next Third Thursdays, guests can rock out to a local band, Brothers of Others, and woof down delicious fare available for purchase from food trucks, including Ms. Cheezious and Off the Wall. While kids can participate in the action too, with interactive activities from face painting, pet balloons, and floral workshop by florist, Zoom Bloomz, to the popular Metal Monkey Workshop, which empowers children to make crafts using basic tools. For locals interested in adopting a new pet, an organization will be on-site with furry friends who are looking for a home. Guests can also enter for a chance to win neat pet prizes.

Third Thursdays take place each month from January-April. Presented by Surfside’s Tourism Bureau, Third Thursdays is a community event designed for locals and visitors to experience the Surfside lifestyle and also check out restaurants and boutique shops in Surfside’s downtown district. This event is made possible with the help of sponsors including a local veterinarian, Dr. Carmona from Veterinarian Wellness Center of Surfside.

Thursday, March 15

6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

95th Street, between Harding and Collins Avenue

Admission is free. For adults 21 and over, there will be complimentary cocktail tastings by Miami Cocktail Company.
