Fooq’s Brings a Taste of Downtown to the Design District with Weekly Brunch Soiree at La Victoria Social Club

The coming of the season brings a new brunch soiree to The Miami Design District, filling a much-needed void in the ultra-luxe neighborhood. Restaurateur David Foulquier and nightlife guru Antonio Turbay have teamed up to create “Victory Brunch,” a weekly brunch party that will take place in the garden oasis at La Victoria Social Club. Officially launching to the public on Sunday, November 20th, the duo has thoughtfully curated every realm of the experience to guarantee it’s filled with crave-worthy food, exuberant hospitality, and a good vibe only policy.

A hidden oasis in the heart of Miami’s ultra-Haute Design District, La Victoria has yet to fully integrate within the landscape of the bustling destination, serving primarily as a nightlife venue during the wee hours of the evening. Functioning as a prime spot for luxurious brunches on the weekends, the vibrant ambiance makes for a lively experience, with a layout that is spacious, yet intimate enough to feel exclusive. The bright and airy space features colorful wooden tables, leather banquettes, and a full-service bar, embraced by beautiful floral decor that hangs from above the ceiling.

Former Cypress Room alumni, Sergio Sotello, will helm the kitchen at La Victoria, dishing out a harmonious balance of elevated dishes and Fooqs’ brunch favorites. The menu will feature a raw bar, where guests can savor a fresh selection of oysters, lobster tails and some of Miami’s best stone crabs, which Foulquier has sourced himself. A decadent section of egg dishes will also be available, with items such as Lobster Benedict and a Rib-Eye Steak & Eggs. Fooqs’ cult brunch favorites such as Brussel Sprouts, Bucatini Carbonara or Amatriciana, and the oh-so-missed croissant bread pudding, which will debut once again.

Miami’s leading mixologist, Rob Ferrara, has been brought on board to create an elevated menu of handcraft brunch-inspired cocktails to complement the menu. Signature cocktails include the La Victoria, an ode to the venue, made with Hendricks, Strawberries, Basil, Mint, Fresh Lemon, and Florida Orange Juice. No proper brunch is complete without rosé, so Ferrara’s menu will also include the inventive concoction,  Ricky Rosé, made with Rosé Wine, The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve, Rose Water, Pink Lemonade. The cocktail menu will not fall short on ornate presentation, with an Absolut Elyx partnership that will offer crowd favorites, such as the Pineapple Express (Absolut Elyx, Fresh Pressed Pineapple, Mint, Fresh Lime, Cinnamon Reduction), served in Elyx’s signature copper pineapple.

Victory Brunch will officially launch on Sunday, November 20th, and continue on a weekly basis throughout the season, from 12 pm to 6 pm.

La Victoria is located at 28 N.E. 40th Street, Miami, FL.
