Weston’s Kewpee Burger’s win at a Miami food festival proves the olive burger is more than a favorite among locals.
The olive burger was crowned as the Judge’s Choice at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival’s Burger Bash, part of a five-day food and wine festival hosted by the Food Network. This honor came with a $2,500 prize for Autumn Weston, owner of the downtown Lansing restaurant.
“It’s unreal!” Weston said. “A customer, Sef Gonzalez, invited us down to Miami. He was on a burger road trip tour (in Lansing). When he got back to Miami, he mentioned to us.”
