Weston’s Kewpee olive burger won big at South Beach’s Burger Bash

Autumn Weston, photographed on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, is the owner of Weston's Kewpee Burger in Lansing.

Weston’s Kewpee Burger’s win at a Miami food festival proves the olive burger is more than a favorite among locals.

The olive burger was crowned as the Judge’s Choice at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival’s Burger Bash, part of a five-day food and wine festival hosted by the Food Network. This honor came with a $2,500 prize for Autumn Weston, owner of the downtown Lansing restaurant.

“It’s unreal!” Weston said. “A customer, Sef Gonzalez, invited us down to Miami. He was on a burger road trip tour (in Lansing). When he got back to Miami, he mentioned to us.”
